New Product discussion…Hair, Skin and Nails Liquid Vitamins

One thing I vowed to do this new year that I didn’t do in 2016 is take a Hair, Skin and Nails vitamin. Ever since I had Tristan, my hair has been thinning and shedding so much. It seemed like one day I had these beautiful golden locks and a few months later my hair was broken off in sections, brittle and just not the same. I’ve colored my hair blonde for years so I didn’t think it was the coloring that made my hair break off so bad. The only other thing I could blame was my hormones after giving birth to Tristan. I discussed my hair breakage/thinning with my doctor and she confirmed that after having a baby it’s common for a mom to lose some hair. Although this didn’t happen after I had my first son, Trey, I said “OK” and just did whatever I could to minimize the breakage. To avoid having to deal with my “mane issues”, I decided to get hair extensions as a protective style.  After about a month, I removed the extensions and wore my hair natural in a pony tail most of the time. I then tried a lace frontal and hated it! Back to square one. Fast forward to now…my hair has been slicked back into a ponytail every day since I removed the lace front installation. Although pony tails are low maintenance and convenient, if pulled tightly, it can cause extra damage to already thinning hair. This is one of the reasons I want to get my hair back to its healthy state so I don’t need to pull it in a pony tail every day.  I love how long tresses look on me, so this year, instead of getting more hair extensions, I made a decision to allow my natural hair to grow out and cut off all the damaged ends.  I refuse to let my natural hair continue to be in the state that it’s in so I’ve been researching vitamins for hair.  There are a few popular brands on the market that I’ve heard people talk about on social media but it just so happened that I received the Curls Blissful Lengths Liquid Hair Growth vitamins in a gift bag from an event that my sister and I attended last month. I’m not a stranger to the Curls brand as I’ve used the curl creme hair products for Trey. But I had no idea they had vitamins for the hair as well.  I popped this bottle open on January 3rd and started taking my daily supplement of 15ml. Now, I’m not going to pretend like this stuff tastes good, because it doesn’t. My reaction to my very first dose was “yuck”… but I’m “kinda” getting used to the taste. It actually tastes like orange flavored kids medicine. LOL.  Nevertheless, I’m 9 days in and committed to taking the supplement until the bottle is finished to see how long my hair grows if any. The only downfall of this vitamin is that one bottle is only good for 15 servings. I really wished they would offer a 30 servings supply bottle. Hopefully in the near future. However, I’m not going to complain since I did get it for free. 🙂  I am hoping I notice significant growth even in these 15 days. The results will determine whether I purchase another bottle to complete a full month. We shall see. I am super excited to start this journey to strong healthy hair and share my results with you all. Below are photos of the Blissful lengths Hair Growth liquid vitamins.   You can purchase it on the Curls website here for $25. Once you open the bottle, you must refrigerate it. I totally forgot one day and left it out the entire day until I remembered the next morning. Thankfully, it didn’t spoil.  I’ll follow-up with you all with Before and After photos of my hair once I’m done with this bottle. Essentially, for a 30-day serving, this liquid hair vitamin will cost you $50. I’ll let you know if its actually worth it. 🙂 Cheers to long hair, gorgeous skin and strong nails!!

I’m curious to know if any of you have tried the Blissful Lengths Liquid vitamin and if so, how was your experience. Please comment below if you saw results or not.
